Miranda Kerr Forced To Hand Over $11 Million Of Gifted Jewellery After Theft Lawsuit

Miranda Kerr has handed over around $AUD10.7 million worth of jewellery which was gifted to her by Malaysian financier, Jho Low, following an ongoing lawsuit which alleges money has been misappropriated from a Malaysian state investment fund.

Her spokesperson has revealed, “From the start of the inquiry, Miranda Kerr co-operated fully and pledged to turn over the gifts of jewellery to the government. Ms Kerr will continue to assist with the inquiry in any way she can.”

The US Justice Department is alleging the jewellery is among $US 1.7 billion in assets bought with misappropriated funds, including a yacht, luxury real estate across in London, New York and Los Angeles, and other rich people purchases.

Miranda dated Jho Low in 2014 when he gifted her the jewellery.

Earlier this month, Leonardo DiCaprio handed in an artwork which was also gifted to him by Jho.
