A truck driver has suffered severe leg injuries after his semi-trailer rolled over him on the M1 ramp at Pennant Hills this morning.
Traffic in the area is believed to set travel time back with delays over 4km.
Earlier this morning, access to the M1 from Pennant Hills Rd was down to one lane northbound.
Not too long ago, all northbound lanes reopened on the ramp.
While the roads are now opened, traffic remains extremely heavy on Pennant Hills Road but southbound traffic on the motorway has returned to normal.
The driver aged in his 60s is believed to have noticed brake problems, so he stopped and got out of the cabin to check out what the problem was when the semi rolled over him.
He’s believed to be in a serious to critical condition and has been taken to Royal North Shore Hospital.
Motorists have been encouraged to allow additional travel time.
