Optus has announced a $6million spend on 12 more towers for the region to boost reception service.

The towers are set to be rolled out across the region on the next 12 months.

Corporate Affairs Officer Steve Batten says the benefits from these new towers will also extend to businesses:

“It’s no longer just about making phone calls.  With the introduction of more network coverage this is a great option for data and ICT requirements this includes small businesses as well.  This is good news as we are also introducing a new business centre which is scheduled to open in Toowoomba next month.”

Some areas that can expect the new towers include, Hampton, Condamine, Yarraman and Bymount South.
